Meet
our Pastor
As
the Pastor of Open Door Baptist Church, I offer you a sincere
greeting and invitation to come visit.. My desire is
to please and glorify The Lord with my life, and
to help people to serve him fully. God in his goodness
has called me to be a Pastor in the Seattle- Tacoma area, and it
is a great privilege to be able to serve in this great church.
If you come and visit I know that you will find a warm welcome,
sincere loving Christians, and practical messages that speak to
the heart. I hope to see you soon, and to be able to serve you
in any way I can.
Sincerely,
Pastor Byram

His Background
Pastor
Byram was born in Boise, ID on July 19, 1969. His dad was an
alcoholic, and his dad left when he was 5 years old. His mom and
brothers and sister moved to Oregon city, OR in the summer before
his second grade year. His home not a Christian home, and there
was much conflict, and very little of God. He didn't go to church
at all to speak of, but had a real hunger in his heart to know The
Lord, and that he was going to Heaven when he died. In the Summer
of 1985, his friend Roman White received Christ, and witnessed to
Pastor Byram, and he was saved shortly afterwards. He began to
grow, and soon the two teenagers caught on fire for God. God
called him to preach, and he preached everywhere he could - in
nursing homes, on church busses, Sunday School, Jails, etc. He
knew when he was 17 that God wanted him to Pastor in the Seattle
area. He went to Bible college in Indiana in 1989, and
left to the Seattle area immediately after graduating. He
married one of the girls from his youth group Jennifer, and they
have 5 wonderful children - Josiah, Tiffany, Esther, Brooke, and
Timothy.
